Howdy, folks!
This page is the intro to a quick little Windows app. I wrote for the purpose of comparing air-cannon projectiles. The sim provides a side-by-side comparison of two different projectiles and plots their corresponding range/velocity profiles to a range of 250 feet. Note that the sim is 1-dimentional and assumes fully subsonic flight. That said....

Usage of the program is pretty straight forward; you just fill in the text boxes with data that is appropriate to your gun/ammo, hit the 'ReCalc' button, and voila! It has, however, occurred to me that not everyone will understand what the requested data is. Thus, some discussion of each input box is warranted...
| Input Data | |
| Cd | The projectile's sub-sonic drag coefficient. Note that this number is typically about 0.5 for spherical objects (ie, paintballs). |
| Diameter | The projectile's nominal diameter (0.685 for paintballs). |
| Velocity | The velocity at which the projectile is to be fired (<=300 fps for paintballs). |
| Mass | The mass of the projectile. |
Well, that's about it. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.
